Swiss National Day celebrated at the Swiss Ambassador's Residence in Washington on July 27, 2019 - organized by the Swiss Club of Washington. It was the last day of H.E. Dr. Martin Dahinden at the residence before his retirement and return home to Switzerland. Ambassador Dahinden has been featured in a number of articles in the Diplomatic Courier. Crown Rose Estate

Crown Rose Estate - Elegant, Rustic and Modern
Within the grounds of the Crown Rose Estate there are a variety of beautiful and interesting ceremony locations including the paddock, the pond, the chestnut tree, the barn and of course the English rose garden - a popular wedding site which was formerly known as Oakland, a historic farm in Petersville, MD owned by General Roland delMar.

In the picture are (left to Right) Reitred Pakistan Navy Commander Basheer ud Din, Tara and Todd Lehtonen, owners of the Crown Rose Estate and Estella Belt seated in the center who has worked at this historic mansion for over fifty years for different owners of the property. Within the grounds of the Crown Rose Estate there are a variety of beautiful and interesting ceremony locations including the paddock, the pond, the chestnut tree, the barn and of course the English rose garden - a popular wedding site which was formerly known as Oakland, a historic farm in Petersville, MD owned by General Roland delMar. The mansion was built by Dr. Horatio Claggett in 1850s. The history of the farmland on and around the mansion goes back to the colonial period.

H.E. Ambassador Dirk Wouters of Belgium in his office for an interview with the Diplomatic Courier. Ambassador Wouters, a career member of his country’s Foreign Service, became Belgium’s ambassador to the United States on September 16, 2016. Before coming to Washington, Ambassador Wouters was Belgium's representative at the United Nations. While in New York, he became a long distance runner and has participated in many marathons in New York. At the funeral of a friend's wife, he committed to join his friends bucket list - a climb on Mount Kilimanjaro.
