Dan Rumelt

Dan Rumelt is retired and lives in Las Vegas after a 40-year government media relations career in Washington, DC. He and wife Kathie have been traveling the world in retirement. He recently realized he has upwards of 50,000 photos from trips going back 40 years. A recent Safari Cruise that took them to South Africa, Botswana, Namibia, Zambia, and Zimbabwe, was a highlight. Testing positive for COVID in Italy in May was a low point.

This collage features the Zambezi Queen riverboat where we resided for 4 nights while exploring the Chobe River and Park in Botswana. This collage, in addition to showing the Zambezi Queen, also includes images of an incredible sunrise, one of our safari vehicles, and my favorite selfie. Rumelt image 4 A Lion Lounges After Lunch
This was one of a number of lions lounging in the shade after lunch or a nap. This photo was taken during a land safari on our recent Chobe River and Park Safari Cruise. Our guide claimed the lions viewed our vehicle as too big for lunch but cautioned that if we got off, or fell off, we could be seen as more bite sized and become lunch.
