The companies plan to complete the transaction by the end of the year.<\/p>\n<p>Under the agreement, Sanofi-aventis will get access to Covance&#8217;s services for discovery support, toxicology, chemistry, clinical trials, central laboratory, and market access, with annual commitments for these services increasing over the next decade. The deal also includes a 10-year sole-source relationship for central laboratory services.<\/p>\n<p>Covance will acquire Sanofi-aventis&#8217;s chemistry, manufacturing, and control services with the addition of the Porcheville and Alnwick sites.
