The center will open at the end of 2010.<\/p>\n<p>The S\u00e3o Paulo R&amp;D center is expected to implement new water technology research in the growing South American market. The center will work on biomass, bioethanol, pulp, and applications for the oil and mining industries. Kemira and VTT already operate the Center of Water Efficiency Excellence in Finland.<\/p>\n<p>The new unit in Brazil will form partnerships with local enterprises and research institutions in turning biomass into chemicals, energy (biofuels), and pulp-based products.
