The campaign to find these ideas and partners is contained in a new challenge on InnoCentive, which has a deadline of 30 October 2013 for submissions (free registration required).

InnoCentive in Waltham, Massachusetts conducts open-innovation, crowd-sourcing competitions for corporate and organization sponsors. InnoCentive calls this kind of competition an electronic request-for-partners challenge that requires a written proposal.

Procter & Gamble is looking for new or existing proprietary technologies using three-dimensional inkjet printing that can be applied to packaging to increase the appeal or value to consumers. Methods or processes that can efficiently deliver a variety of active materials on packaging surfaces will also be considered.

In this competition, Procter & Gamble asks participants to submit only non-confidential information in their proposals. Submissions will then be evaluated by the company, which will contact the entrants with the ideas to be pursued.

There is no set monetary prize awarded to winning entrants. Compensation for the winners and other terms will be determined in subsequent partner contract negotiations.

Read more:

University of Houston Spins-Off Nanotech Coatings Company

Inkjet Print Process Devised for Quantum Dot Organic LEDs

Inkjet Printing Process Devised for Graphene Circuits

Merck, Seiko Epson to Partner on Organic LED Inkjet Inks

University to Research 3-D Self-Assembly Processes

Image: Creative Tools/Flickr

*     *     *

Procter & Gamble Company in Cincinnati is seeking new ideas for applications of 3-D inkjet printing to add consumer appeal to packaging, as well as collaborators to bring those ideas to fruition.
