The ministry announced it will co-fund the facility with Imec.<\/p>\n<p>ITIC is expected to expedite applied research projects with industry and academia to result in electronic designs, components and technology solutions. The new R&amp;D center will focus on a variety of applications in bioelectronics, micro-electro-mechanical systems (MEMS) and &#8220;green&#8221; electronics.<\/p>\n<p>The plan for ITC calls for a growth of its research staff to 40 over the next three years.
