Kotok)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The French pharmaceutical company <a href=\"http:\/\/sanofi-aventis.mediaroom.com\/index.php?s=43&amp;item=307\">Sanofi-aventis<\/a> said today it will take part in a program at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) that encourages innovative biomedical research. Sanofi-aventis will be the first industry partner in UCSF&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/pbbr.ucsf.edu\/\">Program for Breakthrough Biomedical Research<\/a> that awards funding to projects of potentially high impact and greater creativity.<\/p>\n<p>Sanofi-aventis will fund up to five grants a year, with additional funds available for students or fellows to intern at Sanofi-aventis to conduct collaborative research.
