27 August 2018. When you absolutely love your job and the industry that you\u2019re in, it can be such a good a feeling. Getting a lot of satisfaction from your career can mean that you are largely happy in life, because you spend such a long time working. But sometimes, even just loving what you do isn\u2019t always that fulfilling. Sometimes, you want to know that you\u2019re really making a difference. When you know that you\u2019re professional<\/a> and that you\u2019re good at what you do, it can really help. But sometimes, you may want to know that you\u2019re going to be remembered for the work that you do. When this is the case, and you want to create a legacy business or be a legacy in your field, here\u2019s what it takes.<\/p>\n

Innovation<\/b><\/p>\n

So the first thing, is to make sure that you\u2019re innovative. If you\u2019re just doing the same as everyone else, you won\u2019t really be making waves – nor will you be remembered. You can do a great job, but still not be really contributing anything special to your field. But when you take a look at someone like Steve Jobs, you know that he really did offer something to both his company and the tech industry overall. So it\u2019s so important to make sure that you are being innovative in your field.<\/p>\n

Persistence<\/b><\/p>\n

Next, you also need to make sure that you are persistent. You can\u2019t be afraid of trying, or pushing on, or of waiting for your success. This is just so much more important than planning anything out, because you may need to wait for years to get the big break or level of success that you want. Just like Navy SEAL Creed<\/a> said, you do have to get back up whenever you get knocked down. You can never be out. You just have to keep on going.<\/p>\n

Patience<\/b><\/p>\n

But, at the same time, you have to be patient. Because when you\u2019re okay with being persistence, you do really have to make sure that you\u2019re okay with being persistent for years. And yes, it can sometimes be years. You just have to make sure that you know that you may have to wait to get the success, the recognition, and the legacy that you want.<\/p>\n

Creativity<\/b><\/p>\n

Then, you\u2019re going to want to make sure that you are creative with what you do. To be remembered, you need to be different or better than the rest! Just like Daniel Handler<\/a> and his Lemony Snicket’s “A Series of Unfortunate Events.” You have to add your own unique creative spin on things if you want them to be remembered.<\/p>\n

Passion<\/b><\/p>\n

And, of course, you have to have passion for your subject. If you want to make sure that you\u2019re really contributing to your industry, it helps to be incredibly passionate about the projects you\u2019re working on and the work that you do. This will keep you focused during late night and tougher times, just like persistence can. When you love what you do, it will show. People will know that you\u2019re one to watch in your field, because real passion always shines through.<\/p>\n
